COVID19 Information Update

Adult Class Modifications

For the foreseeable future, we are offering options for In-Person classes or Virtual classes. This allows us to limit the number of people inside our office at one time, and also allows folks to choose the format that is most comfortable for them. Due to smaller class sizes, classes are filling up quickly!
  • Virtual classes will be smaller in order to keep learning individualized and improve the experience – maximum 6 students. Classes will be live with the instructor using Zoom. You will need a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone to participate.
  • If your group meets virtually and you require a new textbook for the session, you will be able to purchase the book online and pick up curbside prior to the first day of class. We will contact you with more details.
  • In-Person classes are only recommended for those who will have begun the COVID vaccination process by June 1st.
  • For in-person classes, all students should take their temperature before leaving home. If you have a fever, chills, aches, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, headache, or loss of taste or smell please DO NOT come to class!
  • Students will be spread out in the classrooms, and class size is limited (depending on the size of the room). Class start times are staggered, so that we don’t have too many people coming and going at the same time.
  • The State of Indiana has mandated the use of masks in public and everyone who enters our premise is required to properly be wearing a mask (over the nose and covering the mouth). We are following all disinfecting protocol. By default, all students and teachers should plan to wear a mask during in-person classes. In some cases, depending on the vaccine status of all participants, as well as everyone’s comfort level, we may have masks optional inside the classroom. This information will be gathered on the registration form. If this applies to your class, you will be notified.
We thank you for your patience and patronage during these difficult times. We’re doing everything we can to bring you the best possible learning experience so that for a couple hours each week we can all forget about coronavirus and immerse ourselves in the joy of learning Spanish. Looking forward to having you in class!

Children’s Program Modifications

At this time our programs for children are mostly virtual, and we are beginning to return with limited in-person offerings where available.

  • We will be providing material electronically and will have additional supplemental YouTube videos available for additional practice.
  • For in-person classes, please, no more than ONE parent should attend, and ONLY if your child needs help using the bathroom. Parents must wear a mask at all times inside our premises.
  • Parents seeking in-person private or semi-private classes may reach out to us. If we have a teacher who can safely administer in-person classes, we will determine feasibility to do so. We are careful not to put any of our wonderful teaching staff at risk.
  • Small group private or semi-private virtual classes are also available if you are planning to home school your child. We can create a custom schedule and learning plan that works with your goals and your child’s schedule.

Private Class Modifications

Private classes may meet in-person or virtually at this time depending on the comfort level of each student. If you’ve purchased a package of private classes and just want to wait a bit before meeting, that’s ok too.
  • Virtual classes will be live with the instructor using Zoom. You will need a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone.
  • For in-person classes, all students should take their temperature before leaving home. If you have a fever, chills, aches, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, headache, or loss of taste or smell please DO NOT come to the office!
  • The student(s) and teacher will be 6 ft apart in the classroom.
  • The State of Indiana has mandated the use of masks in public and everyone who enters our premise is required to properly be wearing a mask (over the nose and covering the mouth). If both the students(s) and teacher are fully vaccinated, masks may be optional and can be decided together with the instructor.
